HBL signed a joint venture agreement with Haier Group on the 14th or July 2000. The joint venture company is Hayes-Haier Appliances Company Ltd.

This joint venture company is currently operating a full scale assembly plant for air-conditioners, washing machine, refrigerator and freezer. The product range will be increased to TV's, other audio video products, and small appliances. Hayes-Haier Appliances Company Ltd. is the first company ever to setup such a full scale assembly plant in Bangladesh.

Hayes-Haier Appliances Company Ltd. has already received export order form Australia, India, Nepal, Middle East and Europe.

Any export from Hayes-Haier  Appliances Company Ltd. has the same international warranty which is provided by the Haier Group for quality.
